OHL CEO in Washington, DC
In an effort to inform decision makers and provide expertise on addiction related policy matters, our CEO, Ed Carlson, is in our nation's capital meeting with the movers and shakers. While in Washington, DC, Ed has:
- Contributed to a roundtable discussion about the opioid crisis as a guest of HHS Sec. Tom Price, MD,
- Met personally with legislative staff members of Rep. Diane Black, House Budget Chairwoman,
- Met with Rep. Phil Roe, MD, House Veteran's Affairs Chairman, and members of his legislative staff; and,
- Met with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, the highest ranking member of the House and second in line to the presidency, and members of his legislative staff.
Ed's meetings make for a huge victory as we seek to establish Odyssey House Louisiana as the primary go-to resource for policymakers in an effort to combat the opioid crisis.
