Safe Prescription Disposal
In an effort to prevent misuse of leftover substances, OHL reached out to DisposeRX and received a donation of 1,000 patented drug disposal packets. DisposeRx was designed to help reduce the occurrence and/or severity of certain risks associated with keeping unused medication around the home. It's innovative technology includes cross-linking polymers that activate in water in the presence of unused medication in the original prescription vial in less than 30 seconds.Starting Monday, OHL's iPrevent team will begin bringing DisposeRX to all of our outreach events including events, tabling, and NOSAP to educate community members on the importance of proper disposal of leftover medication. This is a great added tool that we are able to distribute in our community!
